Apple is again supporting World Aids Day on December 1st, and will be donating $5 for every qualifying purchase between November 29 and December 8.This will be the 18th year in which Apple has supported The Global Fund, which seeks to fight HIV, tuberculosis (TB) and malaria … The Global Fund The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria was established in 2002, and has been credited with saving 65 million lives since then.Apple supporting World Aids Day Apple began its own support for the fund not longer after it was established.
One element of this is a collaboration with (PRODUCT)RED to create limited edition models of Apple products in a red color, with up to 50% of profits donated to the fund.In addition, Apple makes annual sales-related donations across all Apple products in the period surrounding World Aids Day.The company usually turns Apple Store logos red on December 1st.
