Netflix has debuted the first trailer for and set the theatrical and streaming release dates as well.The upcoming stop-motion animated film will have its world premiere at AFI FEST on October 27th, playing at the historic TCL Chinese Theatre, followed by a limited theatrical run this December, then releasing on Netflix globally (except in the UK/IE) on January 3, 2025.
Aardman's Academy Award-winning director Nick Park and Emmy Award-nominated director Merlin Crossingham direct the new epic adventure.In this next installment, Gromit’s concern that Wallace is becoming too dependent on his inventions proves justified, when Wallace invents a “smart” gnome that seems to develop a mind of its own.When it emerges that a vengeful figure from the past might be masterminding things, it falls to Gromit to battle sinister forces and save his master… or Wallace may never be able to invent again! Reece Shearsmith (, ) lends his voice to Norbot, and Ben Whitehead stars as Gromit, the eccentric, cheese-loving inventor from the North of England who lives with his best friend and loyal pooch.
Whitehead has previously worked with Peter Sallis (the original voice of Wallace) on several brand projects.Joining the voice talent of Shearsmith and Whitehead are Peter Kay, Lauren Patel, Diane Morgan, Adjoa Andoh, Muzz Khan, and Lenny Henry.Mark Burton wrote the screenplay based on a story by himself and Park.
