Kickstarter has debuted its 2024 Creative Download, an annual insider look at the top ideas, creators, and backers that shaped the platform last year.Designed as a way to focus on the trends shaping creativity, innovation, and crowdfunding today, the report showcases what’s growing, who’s creating, and what people are supporting.
One of the key areas explored in the Download is the world of Film & Animation, with new data spotlighting trends and data from the vertical, including the top-funded projects of the year.The Download found that animation remains a strong force on Kickstarter, generating $5 million in pledges, and had the second total dollars pledged among all film subcategories.The top-funded animated project of 2024 was by Will Wight, which raised $1,275,446 million.
