Apple releases beta 4 for visionOS 2.5, watchOS 11.5, and tvOS 18.5 - 9to5Mac

Apple just shipped new betas across its array of software platforms.Beta 4 for watchOS 11.5, visionOS 2.5, tvOS 18.5, and more is now available.Beta 4 likely focuses on bug fixes and stabilizing performance One week after its last developer betas shipped, Apple has another wave of updates ready.

Beta 4 is now available for users testing visionOS 2.5, watchOS 11.5, tvOS 18.5, and more. These updates so far have been unusually light on new features or changes.Unfortunately, that’s likely to remain the case with today’s new beta 4.

Other than some last-minute surprises, which Apple does sometimes offer in late-cycle updates like these x.5 versions, we may have seen the last of especially noteworthy changes for now. That’s because if Apple had more new features in store, it likely would have added them in an earlier beta.Typically around the time beta 4 arrives, especially for a simple point update like this, we would have already seen whatever noteworthy changes were coming.

Apple still may tweak those additions in response to user feedback, but brand new features don’t tend to appear beyond the first few betas.Of course, surprises can always happen, but for now it seems Apple’s new beta 4 releases will probably just offer bug fixes and performance improvements. Then when these updates ship publicly some time next month, their release notes should reveal any hidden changes Apple has been preparing.
