Titmouse unveiled Churp, a new subscription club that delivers curated merch and exclusive cartoons directly to fans, during its recent SXSW anniversary panel
Each month, Churp subscribers will receive a mystery shipment with bespoke apparel, collectible items, and paraphernalia featuring cartoon characters designed by Titmouse artists. Each box also includes a secret code that unlocks access to a private website, where cartoons created exclusively for Churp can be viewed.“I love to wear cartoons on my body and also wear them inside my brain, and is a way to get both at the same time,” said Chris Prynoski, founder and president of Titmouse, “It’s like Sanrio for stoners.”
Mark Brooks, a longtime Titmouse artist and director, will serve as Churp’s president and creative lead.
Describing his vision for the project, Brooks said, “My lifelong experience in underground bands and cartoons has led to the following philosophy for Churp: if it’s too fucked up for anyone else, then we’re definitely making it.” At launch, the platform will debut new, creator-driven cartoons, including: A bloodbath action-comedy about two best friends, created by Ben Falcone ), Chris Henchy (), and Steve Mallory (), and produced by Melissa McCarthy (), featuring an all-star voice cast including McCarthy, Brooke Shields (), Elizabeth Banks (), Joel McHale (), Octavia Spencer (), and George Takei ().A bright-eyed Hollywood hopeful learns the horror of working directly for an A-list celebrity; created by Tommy Blacha (, ).
