Celebrating over 100,000 visitors in its first year, the anime hub established in Ikebukuro, Toshima Ward, will host the ‘TV Anime Pokémon Special Exhibition’ from October 26 - February 2 and a ‘1st Anniversary Event’ on October 20, featuring the popular voice actors Miina Tominaga and Ryūsei Nakao.
Anime Tokyo Station, the anime exhibition hub, has welcomed over 100,000 visitors from Japan and abroad since its opening in October last year.To commemorate its first anniversary, the hub will hold a ‘TV Anime Pokémon Special Exhibition’ from October 26 - February 2, featuring iconic scenes from the series, which centers on a young girl, Liko, and a young boy, Roy. This special exhibition will present the world of the TV anime and trace the journey of Liko and Roy’s adventures thus far.
Exhibits include original drawings of iconic scenes; panels of the main characters and Pokémon; Liko's pendant; and the ancient Poké Ball, among other items.Photo spots will allow visitors to take pictures with characters and Pokémon, including face cutout panels.Additionally, there will be an interactive corner where the two protagonists from "Liko and Roy Channel" come to life and react to visitors.
The facility will also host a "1st Anniversary Event," featuring the popular voice actors Miina Tominaga and Ryūsei Nakao, on October 31 at 5:00 – 6:30 p.m.(tentative), featuring a ‘talk show’ format with special segments by panel.For those interested in attending, 50 participants will be chosen by lottery.
Applications are open until October 20.
