The fantasy author’s ‘Anansi Boys’ comic series has also been cancelled by the publisher, although the Prime Video series adaptation so far appears unscathed.
Dark Horse Comics has dropped the prolific and (formerly?) beloved fantasy author Neil Gaiman following multiple recent allegations of sexual assault, and also cancelled the upcoming “Anansi Boys” comic series. The publisher announced the shocking news on X.
While Gaiman has denied past allegations, stating, “I have never engaged in non-consensual sexual activity with anyone.Ever,” the truths of the alleged events have not yet been proven in court.Other casualties related to the scandal include Season 3 of Prime Video’s which will now end with one 90-minute episode; Disney’s feature adaptation of “The Graveyard Book,” which has paused production; and Netflix’s series, which was cancelled after one season.
Meanwhile, the upcoming Prime Video series has not yet been affected, and Netflix’s Season 2 is still expected to release.
