Heart Month may be coming to a close, but Apple Watch continues to save lives.The latest story comes out of Austin, Texas.Mike Gomez credits the Apple Watch with helping to save his life after receiving a number of irregular heart rate notifications and an Afib detection alert.

Because Gomez took action based on feedback from his Apple Watch, he was informed enough to make the decision to seek medical assistance at the hospital.These early signs of a heart health issue likely prevented Gomez from experiencing a stroke.Watch his story below: Apple Watch is capable of monitoring your heart rate in the background while wearing it.
