Apple has released a new beta for macOS Sequoia 15.3.The brand new RC beta is rolling out now for both developers and public beta users.macOS 15.3 highlights include two Apple Intelligence changes To install the latest beta of macOS 15.3, users with beta updates enabled can go to System Settings ⇾ General ⇾ Software Update.
Today’s RC (release candidate) brings us very close to the public launch of macOS Sequoia 15.3 for users, which is expected in the next week or so.The update focuses primarily on Apple Intelligence changes, including two main features: Genmoji support on the Mac and AI summary changes This latter feature was first introduced last week in the beta 3 release.It comes in response to controversies over Apple Intelligence notification summaries that have provided, well, ‘fake news’ to users.
Apple Intelligence is still labeled beta, and as such Apple says features like its notification summaries may contain errors.Betas for macOS, iOS, and iPadOS have now made it easier to distinguish when a notification contains AI-summarized content by using italics, temporarily disabling summaries for news apps, and more.It’s unknown what potential changes might be added in today’s release, but we’ll keep you posted on anything new we discover.
