The Anibar Animation Festival will return for its 16th edition this coming July 14-20.An annual celebration of creativity and innovation in animation, the festival is held in Peja, Kosovo to showcase animated short films from around the globe.
With four cinemas (two outdoor and two indoor) screening approximately 300 films, Anibar also offers a program of masterclasses, workshops, panel discussions, exhibitions, coffee talks, presentations, special programs, pitching sessions, and music concerts.Entries are now open for animated short films that push the boundaries of storytelling and animation techniques.Both directors and distributors are welcome.
Participants can visit the FilmFreeway profile to peruse the rules and terms, as well as submit a film(s).Submissions are open until March 31.Anibar will recognize excellence in animation with the following awards: Best International Award Best Balkan Award Best Student Award Best Human Rights Award Best Animated Music Video Award Best Young Audience Award Best Audience Award Selected films will be showcased during the festival for audiences of local community and professionals, offering exposure to a diverse and enthusiastic audience of animation lovers, industry professionals, and creatives from all over the world.
