Apple today released big iOS 18.4 and visionOS 2.4 updates, each of which come with a brand new app: ‘Apple Vision Pro’ is the newest iPhone app, and ‘Spatial Gallery’ is new to Vision Pro.Here’s everything you should know about Apple’s latest apps.‘Apple Vision Pro’ is the latest iPhone app in iOS 18.4 For years, Apple has offered a standalone ‘Watch’ app on the iPhone for setting up and managing your Apple Watch.
Now in iOS 18.4, that same idea has been applied to the Vision Pro.The new ‘Apple Vision Pro’ app on iPhone offers a dedicated home to: view your Vision Pro’s model number, software version, and serial number access tips and the Vision Pro user guide and discover new and recent Vision Pro content, such as immersive videos, apps and games, and more Opening the app provides a single-screen Discover page where you can scroll through various stories about recent Vision Pro updates and content. It works a lot like browsing the App Store’s Today tab.
If you own a Vision Pro, the new Apple Vision Pro app will be automatically installed on your iPhone with iOS 18.4.However, for everyone else, the app is entirely optional as a separate App Store download.Spatial Gallery collects spatial media all in one place The second new app released today is Spatial Gallery, which debuts for Vision Pro users as part of visionOS 2.4.
Spatial Gallery is a dedicated home for all the spatial media you have available: photos, videos, and panoramic shots. But that’s not all it can do.Here’s Apple’s full description of the app: I’ll be curious to see over time how regularly Apple is able to add new content to Spatial Gallery and provide fresh reasons for users to open the app.
